Relation和Relationship的区别是什么？

relationship的含义和用法

关系、联系、亲密关系

• She has a close relationship with her parents.

relation和relationship的主要区别

1. relation 和 relationship 都可以表示事物之间存在的某种联系，例如:
   • There are relations/relationships between smoking and cancer.
     吸烟和癌症有关
2. relation 还可以表示亲戚、亲属，而 relationship 不可以。例如:
   • John is Jack's relation.
     约翰是杰克的亲戚
3. relationship 还可以表示恋爱关系，而 relation 不可以。例如:
   • John is in a relationship with Mary.
     约翰和玛丽正在谈恋爱
