Position和Post的区别是什么？

在学习英语的过程中，position和post这两个单词经常会让人感到困惑。这两个单词虽然都有“职位”的意思，但在具体使用上却有不同的侧重点。

position的含义和用法

一般指位置、地点，也可以表示身份、职位、等级。

• He applied for the position of manager.
  他申请了经理的职位。
• The position of the statue is perfect for the garden.
  雕像的位置非常适合花园。

post的含义和用法

一般指邮件、邮局、帖子，也可以表示职位、岗位。

• She was promoted to the post of senior editor.
  她被提升为高级编辑的职位。
• The post requires a lot of travel.
  这个职位需要经常出差。

position和post的主要区别

1. post 和 position 都可以做名词，表示某人的职位、岗位，一般用于正式场合, 可以互换使用，在口语中一般用 job 代替。例如:
   • There are several vacant posts/positions.
     那里有几个空缺的职位
2. post 做动词时，表示派遣、去另一个地方工作。例如:
   • John's been posted to Shanghai for three months.
     约翰被派到上海工作3个月
3. position 做动词时，表示安放、放置，并不一定是去工作。例如:
   • During dinner, John positioned himself away from Mary.
     晚饭期间，约翰故意坐得离玛丽很远
