Close和Shut的区别是什么？

close的含义和用法

'close' 的意思是使某物不再打开，或使某空间不再进入或离开。

shut的含义和用法

'shut' 也有'关闭'的意思，通常强调动作的完成和突然性。

• Shut the window before it rains.
  在下雨之前把窗户关上。
• He shut his eyes and tried to sleep.
  他闭上眼睛，试图入睡。

close和shut的主要区别

1. shut 和 close 都可以做动词，表示关闭、停止，此时可以互换使用，例如:
   • Shut/Close the door.
     关上门
   • Many cafe close/shut at 7 p.m.
     许多咖啡店晚上7点关门
2. shut 的过去分词也是 shut，表示关闭的，用在动词后面，例如:
   • The windows were all shut.
     窗户全都关上了
3. close 的过去分词是 clsoed，表示关闭的，可以用在动词后面，例如:
   • The windows were all closed.
     窗户全都关上了
4. closed 可以放在名词前面，但shut不可以。例如:
   • closed window.
     关闭着的窗户
   此时不能说 shut window.
5. 表示道路、机场、边境等地方的关闭时，只能用 close，而不用 shut。例如:
   • The border was closed.
     边境关闭了
